Exceptional aromatic power
Spices and aromatics are fundamentally important. They are what elevate your dish, they make the difference between a good and a very good dish. For this, quality must be present so you can be captivated by sweet aromas and exquisite flavors. Spices and aromatics have a fabulous power. Cumin, curry, pepper, ginger, chives, marjoram, each brings that little extra for a fragrant dish. Each aromatic herb reveals its power and finds its place in your culinary creations. Let me introduce you to some of my finds.
We weave unbreakable bonds with the heart of traditions and the guardians of centuries-old expertise. This proximity allows us to offer you priceless culinary treasures, aromatics of unmatched quality, true signatures of David Vanille. Spices in various forms
Let’s now discover other spices and aromatics that should make you succumb. First, let’s mention the Amazon Tonka Bean. Sweet like vanilla, intense like almond, the Tonka bean is grated over your sweet and savory preparations. It pairs perfectly with meats, fish, but also creams and chocolate desserts. It’s truly that little extra that makes all the difference. How can we talk about herbs, spices, aromatics, exceptional products, flavorful cuisine without addressing saffron? This luxury product is simply extraordinary. In threads, it reveals all its aromatic power and revolutionizes your fish dishes. Why is saffron so expensive? Simply because this spice comes from the crocus and the collection of threads can only be done manually if one doesn’t want to alter this exceptional product. Moreover, it takes more than 100,000 flowers to obtain one kilogram of saffron.
Crushed pepper
If you enjoy flavorful dishes, but not overly spicy ones, I recommend the crushed Niora pepper. I found it near our home, in Spain. At 3 on the Scoville scale, this mild pepper delicately spices your dish just as Espelette pepper would.
Ground spices and aromatics
Let’s start with powders. Fenugreek powder is an excellent product I discovered in India. Fenugreek is an aromatic plant whose leaves and seeds can be used. These seeds can be found whole in your dish. I chose to offer you the ground version that you can mix with other spices or use alone in a beef massalé or in citrus desserts. Cayenne pepper powder needs no introduction. Its mild and invigorating taste brings that zest some expect in a dish. To make your pizza oil, to prepare an exotic dish, to enhance your vegetables, pepper finds its place in many of your recipes. Star anise powder is a little taste gem. I found it in Vietnam and was immediately captivated by its enchanting fragrance and anise flavor. Badiane powder flavors your dessert creams and fruit salads to give them a whole new dimension. Nutmeg powder, meanwhile, comes from Indonesia. Extremely fragrant, it revolutionizes your mashed potatoes and gratins. But its exquisite flavors also pair perfectly with a chocolate dessert. Finally, Kaffir lime powder is a little treasure I found in Madagascar. This country doesn’t excel only in vanilla production. Here, kaffir lime is cultivated, this ancient citrus fruit resembling lime that brings incomparable freshness to your dishes. Turmeric powder, clove powder, cinnamon powder, it’s hard to mention my entire selection as it is so extensive.
Freeze-dried aromatics
I also offer you freeze-dried products like parsley and basil. Of course, it’s always interesting to work with fresh products in the kitchen. But if it’s not the season or if you’re short of these aromatics, you’ll be delighted to always have a jar within reach to accompany your preparations. Freeze-drying, if done properly, doesn’t betray your product and its quality. Among the must-haves of my selection, I present Herbs de Provence. Thyme, oregano, rosemary, savory, how can one imagine grilled meat on the barbecue without these flavors from the south? And because I don’t like to do things like everyone else and my desire is to always offer you different products, I accompany these aromatics with basil to enhance the taste of these Herbs de Provence and give them that little extra that makes all the difference.
